The Bosco Club of Salesian College of Higher Education organised a one-day outreach programme at St. Joseph Children’s Home, Burma Camp Dimapur on July 23.
The Bosco Club consisting of 18 members along with Assistant Professor, Br. Dominic Ralte, animated the inmates of St. Joseph Children’s Home with a variety of entertainment and motivating items. The programme began at 10:00 am with sessions on gratitude, obedience and love conducted by the students. The Children’s home houses around 50 orphans of different age groups and different tribes. Currently they are taken care of by two priests and three nuns.
The animation programme also included party games, sing-songs and short motivational talks. Emphasis was given on moral lessons on abuse of drugs and alcohol. The programme concluded with a short prayer service in which the children are made aware that they are truly loved by their heavenly Father.
The proprietor, Fr Manoj expressed his gratitude towards the students for bringing great cheer and joy for their children and told them that they are most welcome at any time.
