IYF Nagaland (Koreans, Thai and Nagas) Staged Christmas Cantata at SCHE

International Youth Fellowship (IYF) Youth (Koreans, Thai and Nagas) staged Christmas Cantata at Salesian College of Higher Education on 2nd Dec. 2016 at 5 pm as part of the student interaction program. The team was led by Rev. Hyeonyong Choi, Director, IYF Nagaland.

Welcoming the IYF youth and the audience, SCHE Principal Fr. Dr. Policarp Xalxo said that the institution is glad to have IYF as they stage their first show in Nagaland at SCHE. He said, interaction with students of other countries and places gives the students broad mind and large vision. He wished the audience that Christmas Cantata would help in preparing for Christmas -a festival of peace, joy and hope.

Before the show began, SCHE Rector Fr. Tom Karthik led the invocation imploring God’s grace upon the gathering. IYF youth performed one act play based on a naughty girl, “Anna” who goes away from the family and reunites with it when she realizes the worth of her family. IYF youth also made the evening lively by their dances. At the end, Rev. Choi gave Christmas message. He gave testimony from his own family story, wherein his daughter was miraculously born healthy and normal though doctors had advised them to abort the baby for fear of physical defect in the child.

The Christmas concert was attended by the staff and students of SCHE, heads of various institutions, students from neighbouring schools and colleges, and well-wishers. After the program students had ample time for interacting with another.
