EASTERINE KIRE INTERACTS WITH STUDENTS OF SCHE

Easterine Kire, poet and author and an awardee of Governor’s Medal for excellence in Naga literature, interacted with the students of Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) on 2nd August 2017. She briefed on all her novels and emphasized upon the need to tell our story through literature. Some of her famous books include: A Terrible Matriarchy, Mari, Forest Song, Naga Folktales Retold and A Naga Village Remembered. Her work “When the River Sleeps” was awarded The Hindu Literary Prize in 2016.
