SCHE Observers Teachers’ Day

We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout our country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. For it is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India. The great academic philosopher, scholar, and one of the most well-known diplomats and above all a dedicated teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as Teachers’ day.

SCHE students joined in this celebration of Teachers’ day by showing respect and honour to their teachers at Bernick Hall on 5th September 2018. The whole function was taken up by the students.

The programme opened with a prayer and the lighting of the lamps. A short invocation to God was led by Fr. Dr. Sunny Joseph, the Rector of Good Shepherd Seminary.

Students performed various items emanating their love and gratefulness towards their teachers. Miss. Lomi Sumi addressed the students on behalf of the teaching and non-teaching faculties. In it she spoke about the best gift a student can give to the teacher on teachers’ day.

The programme ended well and all the teachers felt honored and esteemed by the students.
